DRP Swears In Newly Promoted Officers

Mar 07, 2012 10:45 ET

Chief Constable Mike Ewles is pleased to introduce Durham Region’s newest Superintendents, Kim Bulloch and Joe Maiorano, and Inspectors, Dave Brown, George Dmytruk, Jeff Friend, Adam Kelly, Bruce Kovack and Nick Lisi. The eight officers were promoted after a number of retirements.

“We’ve recently seen several members of our senior leadership team retire after dedicating more than a combined 250 years of policing experience,” said Chief Ewles. “It’s thanks to their mentoring and leadership that we have these eight newly promoted officers ready to take our organization forward and meet the needs of Durham Region.”

Superintendent Kim Bulloch will supervise and co-ordinate West District (Whitby, Ajax and Pickering) and the Regional Duty Office.

Superintendent Joe Maiorano is overseeing our Information Technology Unit, the Communications/911 centre and both our Regional Support and Operation Support branches.

Inspectors Dave Brown, Jeff Friend, Adam Kelly and Nick Lisi are heading to our Regional Duty Office working with our frontline officers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Inspector George Dmytruk will be in charge of the Professional Standards Unit and Inspector Bruce Kovack is our new Inspector of Operational Support.

Durham Regional Police congratulates all of our newly promoted members.
