  Help YIP Reach 10,000 Hits

Jul 23, 2012 11:05 ET

Help us reach our goal of 10,000 hits for our 2012 Youth in Policing Lip Dub video by clicking on the Youth In Policing Lip Dub link.

Students selected the song “A Change” by Flipsyde and spent the day filming at Durham College/UOIT on July 11. The video was created in an effort to promote diversity, team building and youth leadership. This helps the public to see the students building relationships with DRPS members and discover policing beyond the uniform.

DRPS members and Youth In Policing students danced and lip-synced their way through the Lip Dub video, building friendships as they worked together throughout the filming process. Many of the Youth in Policing activities were incorporated into the video through the use of signs, unit representatives, costumes and props to show future students the opportunities available to them.
