  Face of Oshawa Building Changes

Aug 31, 2012 14:49 ET

Renovations are well underway at Central East Division in downtown Oshawa, including an additional accessibility ramp, revitalized flower gardens and upated office space.

The $1.5 million renovation began in early 2012 and is scheduled to be concluded this Fall. One of the biggest improvements will be a second, additional central accessibility ramp at the front steps to allow easier access to the disabled. The current accessibility ramp is temporarily unavailable.

Interior improvements include office renovations, improvements to locker rooms and shower facilities and fixing a leaky roof in the main tower.

The DRPS would like to apologize for any inconvenience to the public during these renovations and the building remains open and available to help the public 24/7.
