  Police Looking for Transient Male

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating a 41-year-old male who has lost contact with his family overseas.

Nalin PINNAGODA of no fixed address hasn’t had contact with his family since August 25, 2012 and they are concerned for his safety. Originally from Sri Lanka, he arrived in Alberta a couple of years ago. PINNAGODA has lived a somewhat transient lifestyle since coming to Ontario from Alberta earlier this year. He has resided in Durham Region and has ties to Toronto and Burlington.

PINNAGODA is described as: male, of Sri Lankan descent, about 200 lbs with a heavy build and short dark hair.

Anyone with information regarding this missing person is asked to contact Det. Mackey of the Central East Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2770. Anonymous information can be sent to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
