Three DRPS divisions joined forces last night and received excellent results in a spot R.I.D.E. check in Oshawa.
Officers from Oshawa, Whitby and the Traffic Services Branch set up on King Street West at Waverly Road North and processed over 400 vehicles.
Two drivers received 3-day suspensions for having higher levels of alcohol in their system. Two charges were laid for Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana).
Other motorsist were charged under the Highway Traffic Act for improper attachments and Drive Under Suspension.
The DRPS conducts periodic R.I.D.E. checks every month in various locations. A special St. Patrick's Day RIDE is being planned for this weekend.
