  Officer Astrid Talks to Kids About Holiday Safety

The latest in the video series "Safety Tips with Officer Astrid" focuses on holiday safety. From the Kids’ Safety Village in Whitby, Officer Astrid talks to kids about staying safe around holiday decorations, such as electric lights and candles, as well as the importance of staying close to your caregivers when shopping at a busy mall.

You can join Officer Astrid and her team of volunteers at the annual Christmas Spectacular on Saturday, December 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kids’ Safety Village (1129 Athol Street, Whitby)

This free event is for kids of all ages and will feature a scavenger hunt, a visit with Santa and a visit from some furry friends from Nova’s Ark. Kids will also see Mrs. Claus and the elves hard at work as they get ready for Christmas Eve.

Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to a local food bank.
