Human Resource leaders from across Ontario were in Durham Region on Friday to discuss important issues facing police services.
The DRPS hosted a meeting of the OACP Human Resources Committee at headquarters in Whitby and about 20 participants attended. They meet a few times each year to talk about HR issues facing police services, such as managing sick time, return to work programs, hiring practices and helping employees cope with stress and work/life balance.
Chief Administrative Officer Stan MacLellan chaired the meeting and HR Director Lesley Ford was one of the participants.
