Starting the Weekend Off on the Right Foot

Mar 25, 2014 11:11 ET

Students from Pringle Creek Public School in Whitby started the weekend off on the right foot when they received a brand new pair of shoes, courtesy of Skechers Canada.

The generous donation was realized through DRP’s intranet. Cst. Terry Rayner posted a message about collecting coats, boots and shoes from DRP employees to donate to a local charity. One of our officers reached out to a friend, David Beecroft, Country Manager of Skechers Canada, to see if his company could help with the initiative. And help they did, with a donation of 100 new pairs of shoes for the kids.

Cst. Rayner and VMC & Technical Running Specialist Nick Resch from Skechers attended Pringle Creek and delivered the shoes to some excited students this morning. Principal Renee Price was very thankful for the donation, “Some of the kids are saying it’s like walking on a cloud.”

A big thank you to Skechers Canada for their support.
