Inviting You to Our Easter Eggstravaganza

Apr 07, 2014 14:56 ET

Easter is less than two weeks away, and the DRPS Kids' Safety Village is inviting families to an Easter egg hunt on April 19.

Easter Eggstravaganza is a free event that will feature many activities for children, including an Easter egg hunt, balloons and face painting. There will also be displays from Whitby Fire, Neighbourhood Watch, Durham Health Department (Helmet Safety) and more. The canteen will be offering drinks, hot dogs and treats for sale.

The Kids Safety Village is a miniature neighbourhood that helps children learn about street safety in a controlled, supervised environment.

The event is free, but organizers are asking families to bring donations of non-perishable food items for local food banks.

WHEN: Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
