Thanks to better weather, the construction of our new Clarington Police Complex is moving along as exterior walls go up and foundation is poured.
Steel and masonry work is underway for the new East Division building, along with the installation of the water mains, storm and sanitary sewers.
The foundation was laid around the Forensic Investigation Facility which, when completed, will offer state-of-the-art resources to receive and process evidence required in modern court proceedings. The space will include several specialized labs, some with pressured air-handling systems.
Construction of the Clarington Police Complex is expected to be completed in 2015.
