Safety, Traffic and Regulation Information for Upcoming Boots & Hearts Music Festival

Aug 01, 2014 13:10 ET

Tens of thousands of people will be descending on the Canadian Tire Mosport Park to enjoy the Boots and Hearts Music Festival from July 31 – August 4.

We want to ensure those attending have a great time, but also a safe one
.
Republic Live, the host of the event, has done a great job in preparing helpful lists of Dos and Don’ts, Traffic and Parking Information and Safety Tips. All of this information is accessible on their Boots and Hearts website, or by downloading their mobile app.

The Durham Regional Police Service will be on site throughout the weekend, along with Event Security, to ensure country music enthusiasts can enjoy the shows in a safe environment.

It is extremely important for attendees to remember, in an emergency situation call 911. DO NOT post for help on Twitter or Facebook. Emergencies consist of an immediate threat of danger or harm to an individual or individuals. If, for any reason, there is no cellphone service, officers and event security will be located at every entrance to the park and at licensed vendors.

To report other incidents, such as thefts, minor assaults, vandalism, etc. you can call our non-emergency number 1-888-579-1520 or attend one of the two information booths located within the park.

If everyone follows the guidelines, a good time can be had by all. Please be respectful, stay safe and have fun.
