  New Human Trafficking Help Hotline

Aug 08, 2014 08:26 ET

Due to the results of Project Spencer and Operation Northern Spotlight, the DRPS continues our efforts to eliminate human trafficking. We have set up a Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 4888. Human trafficking is an issue that faces most communities, domestic and foreign, as women are forced to participate in the sex trade. Police encourage the public to call this line with any information related to human trafficking. You can also email us at humantraffickingunit@drps.ca if you wish to submit your tip or request in writing.

DRP will to continue to reach out to the victims of human trafficking to ensure they get the help they need. This new hotline will help us continue to arrest and hold accountable the controllers who take advantage of these women.

If you, or anyone you know, needs our help, please reach out. We’re here.
