Dec 12, 2014 15:59 ET

Retiring Deputy Chief Scott Burns received a warm but unexpected send-off on his last day.

The 29-year DRPS veteran was honoured by members of the DRPS K-9 Unit who formed a ceremonial farewell party at the front doors of Headquarters on Dec. 12, 2014.

Deputy Burns stopped and personally thanked all of the K-9 Handlers before heading on his way.

The DRPS would like to thank Deputy Chief Scott Burns for his tremendous dedication to the Service and his commitment to community safety.
