  DRP Salutes Crossing Guards for Keeping Kids Safe

North Division officers tipped their caps to nine Scugog Township crossing guards for the important role they play in community safety.

Acting Inspector James Stewart-Haass and Cst. Ryan Edgar helped Scugog Township Mayor Tom Rowett and members of Council thank the crossing guards at the Council meeting held on March 30, 2015 in Port Perry.

Debbie Bender, Robert Felix, Luva Smith, Maurice Midgley, Bruce Stainton, Alison Vandenberg, Chris Ginn, Rod Illott and Rob Smith were recognized for working in all kinds of weather to keep kids safe going to and from school. They were presented with certificate of appreciation.

Also on hand was Municipal Law Enforcement Officer Chris Goode, who extended his appreciation for the important role crossing guards play in keeping the Township safe.
