The DRPS is currently looking for students aged 10-13 interested in participating in a fun-filled educational camp this coming August.
The Youth In Policing Program, supported by DRPS, will host its annual Junior Youth In Policing Leadership Camp at Durham College in Oshawa from Tuesday, August 11, to Friday, August 14, 2015.
The goal of this event is to bridge the gap between youth and police officers, in order to inspire the youth to become leaders of change within their schools and communities.
The Junior Youth In Policing leadership camp consists of four FREE Fun Filled days, where junior students will participate in various hands-on activities, while receiving positive mentorship from our 2015 Youth In Policing students. The students who attend the four-day leadership camp will be awarded an official Durham Regional Police certificate to recognize their participation.
At this time, we are seeking junior students aged 10-13 for the 2015 Junior Youth In Policing Leadership Camp who have not previously participated, as we are striving to inspire as many youth in Durham Region as possible. The camp is free of cost and spots are limited!
