Our newly appointed Superintendents were two of several DRP employees across the region who took time to serve up coffee and other treats in support of Tim Hortons Camp Day.
Superintendents George Dmytruk and Adam Kelly welcomed employees and community members with a smile at regional headquarters in Whitby as they stopped in for their morning break. Proceeds from each coffee sold will be used to help send kids who otherwise couldn't afford it to one of six camps for an amazing summer adventure.
In addition to coffee sales, customers can round-up the cost of their order with the difference benefiting camp day. Paper tents ($2) and cabins ($5) are also available for sale and those donating can write their name on a the paper tent or cabin to be displayed in the store. Tim Hortons is also accommodating those who can't get out for Camp Day. Options for donating include giving $5 by texting CAMP to 45678 or by visiting their website here.
Thanks to the generous support of Tim Hortons owners and customers, Camp Day 2014 was a huge success, raising an incredible $11.8 million for the Tim Hortons Children Foundation. Funds raised had a huge impact on over 17,000 children who attended camps last year.
