  DRPS Launches Public Opinion Survey

Sep 15, 2015 10:03 ET

Now's the time to Have Your Say about community safety issues, local policing priorities and the quality of police service in Durham Region.

As part of our ongoing commitment to service improvement, the DRPS is once again reaching out to the public and conducting a wide-ranging public opinion survey.

"We want people from every municipality to tell us how we are doing," says Chief Paul Martin, "We want to find out what their priorities are for public safety and tell us what we should be concentrating on in the coming years."

The DRPS wants to hear from you about issues that affect community safety and the quality of police services. The 49-question survey takes about 10 minutes to complete online. The feedback will be used to help guide operational priorities and support the direction of the next Business Plan.

The 2015 survey is now available online at survey and will be available until December 31, 2015.

Anyone with questions about the survey or the DRPS Business Plan is asked to contact Brad Carter of the DRPS Strategic Planning Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 4394 during regular business hours or by e-mail at
