Join Us for The Halloween Haunt

Oct 22, 2015 15:38 ET

Preparations are underway for the annual Halloween Haunt at the Kids' Safety Village!

This year, the annual Halloween Haunt is bursting with exciting activities and trick or treat stations including:

* A crazy Mad Scientist Laboratory at the School House
* In the Church, join the ghostly Bride and Groom at their candy filled wedding reception
* Walk through a ghoulish grave yard or help out at the Witches Brew station
* Relax at the drive-in theatre featuring a child friendly Halloween Movie
*Additionally, there could be a special surprise waiting for kids in the School House Classroom!

Parents are encouraged to bring their kids in their Halloween costumes for a spooktacular night of fun. The Halloween Haunt is a place for the imagination of children to take root. Cst. Astrid Morse says this event benefits both police and the community, as children can interact with the Auxiliary police officers and DRPS volunteers in a different light in a more relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, this event provides a safe environment for kids to have fun with their parents.

This is a free event with food and refreshments available at the canteen for a minimal charge. Non-perishable donations will be accepted and are handed out to people within the community the next day.

When: Saturday, October 24th
Where: Our Kids' Safety Village located at 1129 Athol Street in Whitby
Time: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
