Looking to do something fun with the kiddies for Easter weekend? Visit Kids Safety Village of Durham Region for the annual Easter Extravaganza on Saturday, March 26, 206, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free, however guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for donation.
The day will include Easter egg hunts, face painting, visits from the Easter bunny, and booths from various community partners including Whitby Fire, Go Transit, Neighbourhood Watch and Bell Canada. There will also be drinks, hot dogs and snacks available for purchase.
Kids Safety Village is a miniature town oriented toward teaching kids about safety in a controlled and supervised environment. It is located on the grounds of Sir William Stephenson Public School in Whitby, and features kid-sized buildings, roads, traffic lights, road signs, battery cars, bikes, classrooms and more.
