Apr 18, 2016 09:54 ET

The three previous fraud prevention seminars hosted by the DRPS Fraud Unit and Neighbourhood Watch in Pickering, Uxbridge and Ajax were a great success--prompting the organization of two more events in Whitby and Oshawa.

The Fraud Unit will continue to speak to residents about the types of scams active in Durham Region, how to prevent becoming a victim and how to report fraud.

Those who missed the previous events are encouraged to come to one of the following:

Where: Centennial-Albert United Church, 19 Rosehill Blvd., Oshawa
When: Thursday, April 28, 2016, 7-9 p.m.

Where: The Court at Brooklin Residence (in the activity room), 5909 Anderson Street, Brooklin
When: Thursday, May 12, 2016, 7:30-9 p.m.

These seminars are free to attend. For more information please contact the Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5610 or 1150@drps.ca.
