Crime Prevention Week Displays in Pickering

Nov 09, 2016 09:08 ET

Join us this week at the Pickering Town Centre to celebrate Crime Prevention Week in Durham Region. Officers and volunteers will be there until Friday November 11, 2016.

From November 7 - 11, 2016, Durham Regional Police are supporting Crime Prevention Week with a display at the Pickering Town Centre, upper level, above the food court outside Mastermind. The display consists of various crime prevention tools and tips on how to prevent crime in our neighbourhoods and around the home.

DRPS members and volunteers are there to meet the public and answer questions about crime prevention, personal safety and policing in general.

Everyone is welcome to come out and view the display which will remain at this location daily during mall hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Residents are encouraged to come by and discuss any concerns and to pick up some informational brochures.

For more information regarding the event, please contact Cst. Walsh of the Community Safety Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5661.
