Looking to do something fun with the kids this Easter weekend? Visit Kids Safety Village of Durham Region for the annual Easter Extravaganza on Saturday, April 15,, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The free event will take place rain or shine and guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for donation.
The day will include Easter egg hunts, face painting, colouring contests, visits from the Easter bunny, DRPS K-9 Unit and the Toronto Police Mounted Unit. There will also be booths set up by our community partners including Whitby Fire and Go Transit. Attendeess will also enjoy free hot chocolate and a cash barbeque.
Kids' Safety Village is a miniature town oriented toward teaching kids about safety in a controlled and supervised environment. It is located on the grounds of Sir William Stephenson Public School in Whitby, and features kid-sized buildings, roads, traffic lights, road signs, battery cars, bikes, classrooms and more.
