DRPS members joined with hundreds of officers from across Canada and the U.S. to march in memory of those who have lost their lives while keeping our communities safe.
The 18th annual Ontario Police Memorial Foundation Ceremony of Remembrance took place at Queen's Park Circle in downtown Toronto on Sunday morning (May 7th. 2017).
This year, four more names from history were added to the Wall of Honour, a stone monument on the east side of Queen's Park Circle.
About 80 members of the DRPS represented our police service, including members of the DRP Pipes & Drums, who joined with other pipe bands to form a large group. For the first time ever, Marine Units from the larger police services participated in the Toronto Harbour to recognize police officers who had died in the line of duty.
