  Two Members Named ASIS Officers of the Year

The Toronto Chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security(ASIS) recently named two DRPS members "Police Officers of the Year" at its 20th annual awards celebration.

Detective Chris Ludlow (pictured centre) and Staff Sergeant Kevin Yamada (not pictured), both of West Division, were presented with the honour at a recent luncheon in Toronto.

The award recognizes the achievements of a police officers who have demonstrated the ability to work closely and collaboratively with the private security industry in the performance of their assigned duties or for a particular project or event.

Recipients are considered a great example of effective private-public partnerships between police and security in the Greater Toronto Area.

DRPS and ASIS congratulates Det. Ludlow and S/Sgt. Yamada for their commitment to all sectors of the community, and their consistent leadership in developing and utilizing effective private-public partnerships between police and security entities.
