  DRPS Honours Those Who Served

Members of the Durham Regional Police are proud to participate in Remembrance Day ceremonies across Durham Region Nov. 11th and salute those brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.

Members of the service will be actively participating at community ceremonies in local municipalities to honour the brave men and women who have served this country in conflicts, past and present.

The following ceremonies are taking place this Sunday across the region:

Beaverton - Cenotaph - Simcoe and Osborne St. 10:00 a.m.

Cannington - Cenotaph - 10:00 a.m. Memorial service at Cannington Baptist Church. 10:40 a.m. wreath laying at the Cenotaph.

Bowmanville - Cenotaph - 40 Temperance St. 10:45 a.m. parade begins at the Legion on King St at 10:30 a.m.

Whitby - Camp-X Intrepid Park- 2008 Boundary Rd. 10:25 a.m.

Whitby - Cenotaph- Dundas/Green St. Parade begins at the Legion at 117 Bryon St at 10:30 a.m.

Oshawa - Cenotaph at Memorial Park (Simcoe/John St). Parade begins at the Armoury at 53 Simcoe St N at 10:40 a.m.

Newcastle - Cenotaph - Mill/Church 10:30 a.m.

Port Perry - Cenotaph - Main/Station - parade begins at 231 Water St (library) 10:30 a.m.

Sunderland - Cenotaph - 120 River Street. Parade begins at the Legion 104 River Street. 10:45 a.m.

Uxbridge - Cenotaph- 9 Toronto St. Parade begins at the Music hall at 16 Main Street. 10:30 a.m.
