  Inspector Graduates from Prestigious Program

May 03, 2005 12:39 ET

Inspector Tom Cameron has enjoyed an eventful career and has always looked forward to learning new things and facing new challenges.

That's why the 26-year veteran was eager to participate in the latest Police Leadership Program at the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management. He found the curriculum exciting and in-step with the modern challenges of leading police organizations.

The MBA-style program for police executives in Canada was developed as a partnership between the Rotman School of Management and the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police. It is an intensive four-week course with a Customized curriculum focusing on leadership and strategy, covering financial management, human resources and communications.

Insp. Cameron enjoyed the training and is looking forward to applying some of the new information in his current responsibilities. He began his policing career in Pickering and has worked in a variety of capacities, including being an inaugural member of the Tactical Services Unit. As the Inspector in charge Employee Services, Insp. Cameron ensures the human resource needs of Durham's 1,100 sworn and civilian members are met.
