  2018 K-9 Calendar Kick-off in Whitby

Oct 04, 2017 13:31 ET

Our four legged members welcomed community members to Pet Smart in Whitby on Wednesday for the official launch of the 2018 K-9 Calendar.

Among the attendees was a local resident who had an opportunity to meet K-9 Blitz and handler D/Cst. King during a recent call. She was so impressed by their work that she was inspired to come by and support the cause by purchasing a calendar.

This year sales from the 4th annual calendar will support three local agencies, Alzheimer Durham Region, The Animal Guardian Society(TAGS) and Epilepsy Durham Region. Over the years the calendar has raised over $88,000 for local agencies in Durham Region.

The K-9 Unit prides itself on an unwavering work ethic, whether at a scene of a serious crime, looking for a missing child or other member of our community, or at the numerous community events we attend each and every year. Each member of the unit wears the uniform with pride.

Pick up your calendar for $20 online here or in person at Pet Smart at Thickson Road and Victoria in Whitby and several other locations around Durham Region to be announced.

Police dogs have, and will continue to, prove themselves to be invaluable members of the Durham Regional Police Service and we are pawsitively thankful for your support.

We hope you enjoy our 2018 K-9 calendar as much as we have enjoyed producing it for you again this year!
