Connecting with the Community at North Division

Sep 10, 2018 09:48 ET

Hundreds of families joined officers from North Division and speciality units, such as K-9, TAC and Marine, for a fun-filled day. Other community safety partners including Scugog Fire, EMS and Neighbourhood Watch were also on hand.

Those in attendance enjoyed demonstrations and gained useful information about keeping themselves, their families and their properties safe. Kids were also happy to spend some time in the bouncy castles and climbing on board DRPS motorcycles and the Public Safety Unit truck. Police Service Dog Taz was also on hand to greet people when they arrived.

North Division would like to that all the local sponsors who helped put together this great community event, including VOS' Independent for sponsoring the BBQ. As well, thank you to all the residents who came and donated food for local food banks.
