Investigators are hoping store security images of two cellphone store theft suspects will lead to a positive identification from the public.
The two suspects are linked to three different cellphone store thefts in Pickering and Ajax in 2012, in which numerous cellphones were stolen from public displays inside the stores.
The first incident occurred on Feb. 27, 2012 at the Rogers Wireless outlet on Kingston Road in Pickering in which six cellphones were stolen. The second incident occurred on Oct. 17, 2012 at The Source outlet on Kingston Road in Pickering in which seven cellphones and a tablet were stolen. The third incident occurred on Oct. 27, 2012 at the Rogers Wireless outlet on Bayly Street West in Ajax where an additional six cellphones were stolen.
The suspects may have been active in York Region as well.
Suspect #1 is described as male, black, early 20s, approx 6' tall, 180 lbs. with a chin-strap beard. He was wearing a grey hooded sweater, jeans, blue and grey hats.
Suspect #2 is described as male, black, early 20s, 6’ tall, with a thin build; wearing glasses, dark clothing and jeans.
