During the early morning of Friday 23 October, 2015, workers along Highway 7 in Pickering noticed smoke coming from a field. They checked the area and observed a body in the area of the smoke and called police.
Two vehicles were seen leaving the immediate area, a rented (damaged) Nissan Rogue followed by a late model black two door Mercedes. The Nissan was later located on fire in a parking lot in south Oshawa. Investigators are interested in who was associated to the Mercedes vehicle.
Claren MIDDLETON, 24-yrs-old, was identified as the deceased male in the field.
MIDDLETON was last seen at a nightclub in south Pickering with a number of associates prior to his death. An extensive investigation into this matter was done and investigators believe his murder may have been in retaliation for an earlier incident.
Police require the assistance of any witnesses to help bring this case to a close.
